PHOVIA LED Light Therapy
What makes it different?
PHOVIA is an advanced fluorescent light energy (FLE) treatment used in veterinary medicine to support skin healing and tissue repair in pets.
Unlike traditional laser therapy, PHOVIA does not use heat or focused laser beams. Instead, it works by applying a special chromophore gel to the skin, which is then activated by LED light. This process converts the light into fluorescent energy that penetrates the skin and stimulates cells involved in healing.
How PHOVIA works:
- Modulates inflammation at a cellular level
- Encourages skin regeneration and repair
- Supports faster healing of wounds and infections
- Improves overall skin barrier function
How PHOVIA differs from laser therapy:
- No heat generation – gentle on inflamed or fragile skin
- Broad, uniform light exposure rather than a targeted beam
- Specifically designed for dermatological conditions
- Well tolerated by even sensitive or painful areas
PHOVIA is commonly used for conditions such as dermatitis, hot spots, wound healing, surgical incisions and chronic skin disease, often as part of a wider treatment plan.
Many pets find PHOVIA sessions calming and stress free, making it an excellent option for ongoing skin management.
